The not-for-profit corporation came into existence in the
1950's and was created to maintain the water levels of Big Lake. They have since built the dam and installed a state-of-art
pump on the Missouri River to pump water into the lake. In addition, the BLIA is instrumental in providing social activities
at Big Lake. They host the annual Moo-AU, fireworks sales, and other timely events. Check out their web site for more information
